If there's no remainder from a division by three :


      remainder = nr % 3 ;
      if ( remainder == 0 )

the following statement :


        continue;

causes the program to jump to the top of the while, look at its condition :


    while ( nr <= 35 )

and, if that's still true, if nr is less than or equal to 35, enter the while block again.

This means, of course, that


      ta.append ( nr + "\n" ) ;

isn't executed , when the current number is a multiple of three.
